We are seeking a Head of Ticket Sales to build a world-class fan-focused foundation for our
brand-new professional women’s volleyball franchise as part of Major League Volleyball (MLV)
in Los Angeles. As a founding member of our team, you will be a part of creating our

About the Position
The Head of Ticket Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the ticket sales
strategy for MLV Los Angeles across a full menu of ticket products, including season
memberships, group tickets, premium and hospitality products, partial plans and individual
match tickets.
As the first leader of the ticket sales function, this person will be both a seller and a builder. This
role will personally develop and close new business while recruiting, training and leading the
sales team as the organization grows.
This role will also establish the sales processes, CRM discipline, reporting and performance
standards needed to build a successful, scalable ticket sales organization.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute the annual ticket sales business plan, including revenue goals, sales strategy, product mix and customer acquisition plans.
- Personally prospect, develop and close new ticket business, particularly during the franchise launch and initial build-out of the sales team.
- Lead sales across season memberships, group tickets, premium/hospitality, partial plans and individual match tickets.
- Recruit, hire, train and manage the MLV Los Angeles ticket sales team.
- Establish individual and team revenue goals, activity expectations and performance metrics, and hold sellers accountable for results.
- Lead regular sales meetings, one-on-one coaching, call reviews and ongoing sales training.
- Build and manage the sales pipeline, including outbound prospecting, lead generation, lead distribution, follow-up and conversion.
- Establish strong CRM practices to maintain accurate customer and prospect records and provide visibility into pipeline and sales performance.
- Provide regular reporting and forecasting by ticket product, sales channel and individual seller.
- Develop relationships with businesses, community organizations, youth and club volleyball programs, schools, universities and other prospective ticket buyers throughout the Los Angeles market.
- Develop group sales programs, theme nights and other ticket initiatives that create new audiences and revenue opportunities.
- Work closely with Marketing to develop lead-generation, go-to-market and ticket sales campaigns.
- Partner with Finance and franchise leadership on ticket pricing, packaging, inventory and revenue planning.
- Work across Partnerships, Community and other departments to identify opportunities to grow the franchise’s customer base.
- Develop service, renewal, referral, upgrade and retention strategies that turn first-time buyers into long-term MLV Los Angeles fans and members.
- Build a professional, competitive and accountable sales culture that reflects the values of MLV Los Angeles.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of successful ticket sales, premium sales, hospitality or related revenue- generating experience in professional sports, college athletics, live entertainment or a similar ticketed business.
- 2+ years of experience leading, coaching or developing sales professionals preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals and personally closing new business.
- Experience with season tickets/memberships, group sales, premium products or other ticket products.
- Strong understanding of outbound sales, prospecting, pipeline management and CRM systems.
- Experience building or improving sales processes, reporting and performance metrics.
- Ability to recruit, train, motivate and hold a sales team accountable.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of the Los Angeles sports, entertainment, business or volleyball community is a plus.
- Experience with a new team, new venue, expansion franchise or other start-up environment is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work hands-on in a growing organization.

- Ability to work evenings, weekends and matches as required.
