Hollywood Came Together at Dôen’s Holiday Fundraiser for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles

On Thursday evening, Dôen returned to Mother Wolf for its annual holiday fundraiser benefiting Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, welcoming a fashion-forward and film-heavy crowd for a gathering rooted in advocacy as much as celebration. The event—hosted by Dôen founders Margaret and Katherine Kleveland alongside Grace Gummer and Megan Ferguson—marked the seventh year the brand has partnered with the organization.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a lively scene anchored by a rotating pizza station—featuring Margherita, Diavola, and a cheese-less option—alongside passed bites of cacio e pepe, arancini, and zucchini bruschetta. Meanwhile, espresso martinis, negronis, and margaritas were being whipped up behind the bar.

As the party continued, The Housemaid star Ferguson addressed the crowd, speaking from the heart about why the partnership matters. “It’s rare to have a brand proudly support human rights, legal rights, bodily autonomy, the right to abortion, the right to health care, and LGBTQ rights,” she said. Turning to the room, she added that she hoped other brand founders in attendance would follow suit. Gummer also shared her personal connection. “Planned Parenthood has always been so close to my heart,” she said. “Their mission of providing care, no matter what, has always resonated with me. And that ‘no matter what’ feels heavier now, more than ever.”

Throughout the space, the messaging was woven into the details. Attendees—including Mamie Gummer, Justine Lupe, Alison Brie, Lake Bell, Vanessa Bayer, Gillian Jacobs, Joey King, Kaitlyn Dever, Christina Hendricks, Aurora James, Jess Wolfe, and Holly Laessig—picked up custom Dôen x Planned Parenthood LA pins, matchboxes, and donned “I stand with Planned Parenthood” stickers. A photo booth, set up with signs reading “bans off our bodies” and “abortion is healthcare,” attracted sisters Devon Lee Carlson and Sydney Carlson to pose for snaps between catchups. Guests were also encouraged to scan QR codes placed throughout the venue to bid on auction items, such as a Lesse facial bundle, a year’s supply of Sophie James wine, and curated sets featuring gifts from Dôen, Boll & Branch, Ursa Major, True Botanicals, and Van Leeuwen.

Ferguson was completely moved by the turnout. “I’ve worn Dôen for a decade. I love Margaret and Katherine, I love their designs, and I love their view of fashion,” she told Vogue. “But more than that, I love that they support Planned Parenthood every single year. They don’t separate business from their ethics. Being publicly supportive of Planned Parenthood is the most feminine thing I can think of.”

Towards the end of the night, dessert arrived with a bit of drama: a tiramisu martini tower flanked by cookies and olive oil cake bites. And by last call, Mother Wolf felt less like a traditional fundraiser and more like a true community gathering. Sue Dunlap, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, was thrilled. “Not every organization is like Dôen,” she said. “We’ve seen companies step back from corporate responsibility in recent years, so I really want to thank them for doubling down.”
