Lucas Raymond’s second goal of the game 6:45 into the third period put Detroit on top for good in their 6-3 win over the visiting Maple Leafs on Saturday night. Patrick Kane finished with a goal and two assists while Alex DeBrincat assisted on three tallies in the win. Marco Kasper got the Red Wings’ first goal at 8:56 of the second period while Simon Edvinsson and Andrew Copp got late empty-net markers. Kane leads the team with four points, including one goal, while Raymond is the only Wing with multiple tallies this season.

Calle Järnkrok lit the lamp for Toronto just 2:27 into the game and Nicolas Roy made it 2-0 Maple Leafs at 12:29 of the first period before Detroit stormed back with three goals in the second period. Max Domi’s marker at 2:38 of the third tied it before the Red Wings took control. Morgan Rielly finished the night with two assists in the loss. Järnkrok has two goals on the season while Rielly and William Nylander each have four points.
