Internationally Renowned Artist Romero Britto and SEGA® Bring an Exciting Art and Consumer Goods Collaboration to Miami

New Items from the Sonic the Hedgehog™ Collection to be Showcased at Romero Britto’s Flagship Gallery in Miami

Today, SEGA and internationally famed artist, Romero Britto, announced they will be teaming up in December 2024 to debut artworks and consumer goods from the BRITTO x Sonic collaboration through a pop-up at his flagship gallery in Miami, Florida. The pop-up will give fans a more in-depth look into the collection inspired by SEGA’s most iconic character, Sonic the Hedgehog.

The BRITTO x Sonic collaboration first debuted at the “Be happy! ROMERO BRITTO Exhibition in Japan” held in Tokyo, earlier this year. Through his signature striking pop art style, Britto’s interpretation of the energetic blue hedgehog received a wide positive reception from the community. On December 7, 2024, in Miami, fans will have the opportunity to experience Britto’s vibrant and bold artwork, including a collection of fine art from the Sonic collection as well as a line of fun consumer goods such as figurines, t-shirts, hats, keychains, pins and more.

Only a short distance from the Miami Beach Convention Center, Britto’s gallery will have a dedicated Sonic the Hedgehog experience, displaying a handful of newly created art pieces depicting Sonic and friends. Fans will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the energetic and dynamic world of Sonic the Hedgehog as seen through Romero Britto’s artistic eye.

Fans will soon be able to purchase fine art, collectibles, accessories and apparel in 2025. “Britto is an innovator and the most licensed and collected artist in history. During this year he has created over 20 original artworks in celebration of the collaboration with Sonic and those will serve as inspiration for a variety of consumer goods to be enjoyed by millions of people globally,” commented Lucas Vidal, global CEO of the BRITTO Group and Romero’s business partner.

“Video games bring people together in a fun way and Sonic has always been one of my favorite characters due to his unique personality and electric blue color. I am very excited with this collaboration and with the launch of the third Sonic Movie later this month in the theaters,” added Britto.

The launch event of the BRITTO x Sonic collaboration in Miami will be held on December 7th, 2024 Saturday, from 6-8PM EST at the Romero Britto Gallery on 1102 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139 and will feature the presence of Romero Britto as well as the official Sonic character.
