MIAMI, FL — Juici Patties is bringing its well-known Jamaican patty concept to South Miami later this year. Franchisee Ryan Chin told Business Debut the fast-casual restaurant is targeting a December opening at 11257 SW 152 St, Miami, FL 33157.

The Miami location will mark Chin’s first restaurant and one of the southernmost Juici Patties locations currently operating in the United States. The brand, which originated in Jamaica, has expanded into several U.S. markets over the past two years, including South Florida and New York.

What to Expect

Juici Patties operates as a fast-casual, grab-and-go restaurant with limited seating. The South Miami location will feature bar-style seating designed to keep service quick and efficient for guests stopping in throughout the day.

Chin said the location is positioned to serve several surrounding communities, including Richmond Heights, Kendall West and Butler Bay, offering a more convenient option for customers who previously traveled farther north to visit the brand.

Menu and Vision

The menu centers on Jamaican patties, including beef, chicken and vegetarian options. Guests can customize patties with cocoa bread and add-ons such as cheese, avocado, bacon and egg. The restaurant will also offer combo meals, party packs and banana chips.

“Juici Patties is almost an institution in Jamaica,” Chin told Business Debut. “For a lot of people, it’s more than food. It’s a connection to home.”

While some Juici Patties locations offer hot sides, Chin said his South Miami restaurant will initially focus on patties only, with menu adjustments possible over time based on customer demand.

Chin said the community response has been strong even before opening, with neighbors stopping by and checking for updates. “I want to make sure we’re prepared to meet the demand and give people a good experience,” he told Business Debut. He added that Juici Patties offers a sense of home for many customers and an introduction to Jamaican culture for those new to the brand.

Opening Timeline

The restaurant is targeting an opening date of February 23, subject to final approvals and readiness.

Hours

Initial hours are expected to be 8:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Sunday hours are planned for 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
