Commercial Real Estate Women Miami (CREW Miami) hosted its March program, Art & Ambition, bringing together industry professionals for a conversation with Jessica Goldman Srebnick, Co-chair of Goldman Properties and CEO/Curator of the Wynwood Walls Museum. The discussion was moderated by Julia Grachova, VP of Business Development and Governmental Legal Affairs at Fuse Group and CREW Miami President-Elect.
The event was supported by TD Bank US, reflecting a shared commitment to innovation, community engagement, and human-centered growth within the commercial real estate industry.
Held in recognition of Women’s History Month, the conversation extended beyond theme to address broader industry topics including leadership, the evolution of Wynwood, and the intersection of real estate, creativity, and business.
Goldman Srebnick opened the discussion by reflecting on the influence of her father, Tony Goldman, and the mindset that shaped her approach to development and leadership. She described a philosophy rooted in conviction, long-term thinking, and a willingness to challenge conventional models within real estate.
Throughout the conversation, she emphasized that real estate is not only a business discipline but also a creative one with lasting impact. “I fell in love with real estate and the ability to put your fingerprints on the planet for generations.”
The discussion also explored the operational and cultural aspects of leadership, including accountability, team dynamics, and the responsibility that comes with shaping both physical spaces and professional environments. Goldman Srebnick highlighted the importance of maintaining a hands-on approach and fostering a culture grounded in respect and shared purpose.
A key theme of the conversation focused on the evolution of Wynwood and the importance of intentional, long-term development. Goldman Srebnick spoke to the balance between growth and preserving the cultural identity that defines successful urban neighborhoods.
The conversation further addressed the increasing role of technology and artificial intelligence in business. While acknowledging the value of emerging tools, Goldman Srebnick emphasized the importance of maintaining human connection and perspective in leadership and decision-making.
The program concluded with reflections on leadership and inclusion within the industry, reinforcing the value of diverse perspectives and collaboration. Goldman Srebnick spoke to the importance of confidence, belonging, and recognizing the complementary strengths individuals bring to the table—regardless of gender—encouraging a more inclusive and balanced approach to leadership.
“I learned from a very early age, and from both my parents, that any room that you walk into, you belong in, and you can stand shoulder to shoulder with anybody,” concluded Goldman Srebnick. “It’s best to embrace all the best qualities that a human being has to offer.”
