Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier engaged in one of the fiercest and nastiest rivalries in UFC history and now they are set to go against each other again.

On Monday, Jones and Cormier were announced as coaches for the ALF MMA reality series, which is one of the more chaotic shows done in all of combat sports. Past coaches have included Khamzat Chimaev, Petr Yan, Aljamain Sterling and Nate Diaz.

Jones actually served as a coach in a past installment with Diaz, but the veteran UFC lightweight and welterweight left the show after an insane brawl broke out during filming that led to his exit.

Now Jones is set to return to the reality series coaching against Cormier after those two battled it out twice in the UFC. Jones got the better of Cormier on both occasions, winning a decision in their first encounter and then scoring a head kick knockout in the rematch.

That result was eventually overturned to a no-contest after Jones tested positive for a banned substance.

They never met again with Cormier eventually moving onto become a two-division champion at both light heavyweight and heavyweight before calling it a career and being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

As for Jones, he briefly retired after he also captured the UFC heavyweight title but then walked back that decision with hopes that he could compete on the upcoming White House card in June. There’s still no word if he’s going to get his wish, although UFC CEO Dana White has repeatedly stated that he doesn’t have faith enough in Jones to put him on such an important card.

While Cormier has retired from competition and become one of the top members of the UFC’s broadcast team, he did recently hint at his interest in potentially running it back with Jones on the wrestling mats. Cormier is a two-time Olympian and one of the most accomplished athletes to compete in the UFC so it remains to be seen if Jones would want to tangle with him in a wrestling match.

For now, Jones and Cormier are going to renew their rivalry as coaches on the Russian reality show with filming expected to begin in the coming weeks.
