LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas Strip casinos enjoyed a big March, thanks in part to a rise in tourism around the city.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported a nearly $780 million gaming win for licensees on the Strip last month.
That’s an increase of over 14% compared to March last year, when the Strip’s win revenue was $681.62 million.
All measured sectors of Clark County saw gains in gaming win for the month, led by Downtown Las Vegas with a nearly 21% year-over-year increase.
Statewide, casinos reported a gaming win of $1.43 billion, up 11.8% from the year-ago month.
Nevada ultimately collected $93.01 million in percentage fees based on the taxable revenues generated in March.
For the visitor volume, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported 3.45 million tourists for the month, up 1.9% from March 2025.
Convention attendance surged by 33%, up to 712,000, while hotel occupancy ticked up 1.9 percentage points to 84.8%.
In its executive summary, the LVCVA cited a packed calendar for the increase, including the Pennzoil 400 NASCAR race, college basketball games, and the return of the CONEXPO trade show.
The average daily rate for a hotel room was $206.72, up more than 12% from the year-ago month. The LVCVA called it one of the strongest hotel revenue months on record.
