The Los Angeles Chargers today announced that the team has promoted Mike Jasinski to national scout and added Kevin Weidl as a national scout. The Bolts also promoted Jaylen Bannerman-Oden to area scout and added Maya Harvey as a football systems developer.

Jasinski joined the Chargers in 2018 as the team’s combine area scout for two years (2018-19) before spending the last five years as an area scout. He covered the Plains from 2022-24 and scouted the Northeast from 2020-21, helping evaluate a pair of Bolts first-round selections in guard Zion Johnson (2022) and wide receiver Quentin Johnston (2023). Jasinski, who played wide receiver at Butler, previously spent time as the director of football recruiting at Purdue and the director of scouting at Northwestern.

Weidl comes to Los Angeles after a nine-year tenure with the Baltimore Ravens (2017-24), reuniting with Chargers General Manager Joe Hortiz. With the Ravens, Weidl was the team’s Southeast/Midwest area scout from 2021-24 after covering the Southeast/Southwest his first four years with the organization. He joined Baltimore after a 10-year stretch (2008-17) with ESPN Scouts Inc., where he evaluated and produced scouting reports on draft-eligible prospects. Weidl also worked as an in-studio host and sideline reporter on ESPN, the SEC Network and ESPNU. He played quarterback at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, posting a 26-6 record as a starter and finishing his career with the third-most touchdown passes in program history (50).

Bannerman-Oden progressed in responsibilities with the Bolts over the last four seasons, beginning as a pro scouting/operations intern in 2021 before working as a scouting assistant (2022-23) and college & pro scout (2024). He graduated from Ohio University, where he was involved with the football team all four years and was a Templeton Scholar, receiving a full academic scholarship. Bannerman-Oden entered the NFL as a video intern and external scouting game charter for the Cleveland Browns in 2020. He is the son of Tennessee Titans Pass Game Coordinator/Cornerbacks Coach Tony Oden, who has coached for nine NFL teams and won Super Bowl XLIV with the New Orleans Saints.

Harvey remains with the Bolts after working as a fellow for the team in 2024. She graduated from Stanford University with a degree in computer science with a concentration in human computer interaction. Harvey lettered four years in beach volleyball for the Cardinal (2021-24), earning Pacific-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2024 and compiling 84 career individual victories, the fifth-most by any player in program history. A native of nearby Hermosa Beach, Harvey was the 2019 AAU Player of the Year and was a 2019 Interscholastic Beach Volleyball World Champion. That year, she helped Redondo Union High to a victory in the CIF-SS Indoor Championship. Harvey began her prep career at Mira Costa High, winning back-to-back IBVL Beach Volleyball State Championships from 2017-18.
