LYNN — After more than four decades at 60 Andrew St., Attorneys Sam and Rick Vitali have relocated their law office just across the parking lot to 161 Liberty St. The move marks a significant transition for the firm, Vitali Law Office, which has been a longstanding presence in downtown Lynn.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the North Shore Latino Business Association (NSLBA) was held on Friday to celebrate the move. Local officials, community leaders, and longtime supporters gathered to honor the Vitalis’ continued commitment to the city.
“We were over there for such a long time, but change is good,” Rick Vitali said. “The move made us downsize and modernize while staying in the same area, serving the same clients and community. It was a natural location for us.”
Mayor Jared C. Nicholson praised the Vitalis’ deep roots in Lynn and their continued dedication. “A long-time presence in this community — being there for your clients, being there for the city, and being there for the community — we are excited to celebrate this important transition for you,” he said.
Sam Vitali reflected on the firm’s journey and commitment to downtown. “It’s a short walk across the parking lot, but it’s been a long journey,” he said. “I couldn’t have done this alone — my brother Rick and Linda have been with me every step of the way, as well as the support of city leaders. Investing in downtown Lynn has always been important to us, and we’ve seen this area change so much over the years. We’re excited to continue being part of it.”
The event also recognized the contributions of Frances Martínez T., NSLBA president and CEO, for her efforts in supporting the relocation. Although unable to attend, she was praised by Rick Vitali for her dedication to the Lynn business community.
City officials presented citations to the Vitalis, acknowledging their contributions to Lynn.
“On behalf of the City Council, we recognize your accomplishments, dedication to the community, and excellence in service,” Councilor Brian LaPierre said.
Additional citations were awarded by State Sen. Brendan Crighton on behalf of the Massachusetts Senate and by State Rep. Sean Reid on behalf of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, further recognizing the Vitalis’ impact on the city.
The Vitali brothers originally opened their office at Andrew Street in 1978, investing heavily in renovating the space as part of a downtown revitalization effort. Over the years, the firm became deeply woven into the community, hosting events and supporting local initiatives.
Despite the move, their mission remains unchanged. “We’re still right here, still committed to downtown Lynn, and still serving the people who have supported us all these years,” Rick Vitali said.
