Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby.

It has been a noisy offseason for Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby. While he’s said that he doesn’t want to discuss what his team has been doing, or if he wants to get traded, that hasn’t stopped his name from coming up in many rumors.

The Raiders don’t seem keen on trading him, but that doesn’t mean he won’t get dealt. In the meantime, Crosby is staying busy off the field. He’s been very active, starting his own businesses and doing his podcast, and now he’s expanding his business even further.

The Leeds United soccer team announced that Crosby has joined their ownership group.

With NFL, NBA and MLB teams being far too expensive for most athletes to invest in, we’ve seen a lot of famous athletes get involved in the ownership of soccer teams. Notably, Raiders minority owner Tom Brady owns a stake in Birmingham City FC, so Crosby now has another thing in common with the future Hall of Famer.

 Latest On Crosby Trade Rumors

Crosby is a hot name in the news world right now. He’s one of the biggest names in the NFL right now who could get traded. The Raiders clearly don’t want to trade him, but that isn’t going to stop teams from trying.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed how much the Raiders are looking to get in a possible trade.

“I was told that the Raiders don’t want to trade [Maxx Crosby], and if they even contemplated it, then it would take a Micah Parsons-type package,” Schefter told ESPN’s 97.5 The Fanatic.

“That’s what I was told. Do I think they are getting two firsts and a player? No. Do I think they want to trade him? No. Do I think he’ll be traded like AJ Brown [could be]? That’ll change by the week. … Any deal involving Maxx Crosby, I would think for the Raiders to make that deal, would take a first-round pick at minimum.”

Are Bears in Play for Crosby?

There will be no shortage of teams interested in Crosby if he becomes available. He’s one of the top pass rushers in the NFL and is a strong leader for a team to add.

The Chicago Bears have come up as a possible landing spot for him, but that seems unlikely. Courtney Cronin of ESPN doesn’t see it happening.

“[Is Crosby to Chicago] something to pay attention to? Yes. Something that seems imminent or likely? I don’t think so, for a number of reasons,” Cronin said on the “UNSPORTSMANLIKE” podcast. “I don’t know if the Bears view themselves as, ‘We are just one elite pass-rusher away from winning a Super Bowl,’ when the draft class is as loaded with defensive line talent as it is.”

Crosby is likely more valuable to the Raiders than most of the teams that could trade for him. He’s easily their best defensive player and the only player who can consistently generate a pass rush. Draft picks are nice, but the Raiders aren’t likely to find a player of his caliber with one of the picks they receive in a trade.
