Memphis Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr. was named the Western Conference’s NBA Player of the Week for games from Dec. 15 through Dec. 21.
Jackson earned the honors after leading Memphis to a 2-1 record during the week. He averaged 27 points, eight rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 32.7 minutes per game.
This is Jackson’s second career Player of the Week honor. His first recognition came in Jan. 2025.
Jackson followed up a slow start this season with his best three-game stretch to date. His 31 points against the Los Angeles Clippers on Dec. 15 was a season high. He then put up 28 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves. That was his second highest scoring total this season.
Jackson had 22 points before fouling out of a Dec. 20 loss against the Washington Wizards.
Jackson joins Zach Randolph, Ja Morant, Pau Gasol and Marc Gasol are Grizzlies players with multiple player of the week honors. Randolph had four, Morant has three and the Gasol brothers each had two.
