ATLANTA — Several agencies and government offices around metro Atlanta are making adjustments ahead of the winter storm that will pass through Georgia and other states.

We anticipate a long-duration wintry mix evolving over north Georgia, lasting most of the weekend. Winter precipitation will start Saturday during the day for some areas and continue through at least Sunday evening.

Here’s what we know about some government offices and agencies in metro Atlanta.

Cobb County

  • All Cobb County offices, facilities, and courts will close beginning Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and remain closed through Monday due to the Winter Storm Watch in effect for the weekend.

DeKalb County

  • All DeKalb County Courthouses will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26. All court operations and administrative offices will be closed for the day to ensure the safety of the public and court personnel. Court proceedings scheduled for Jan. 26 will be rescheduled. Impacted parties, attorneys, and jurors will be notified directly with additional information and instructions.

Forest Park

  • Forest Park City Hall and administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26. All essential city departments and services, including Fire, Police, and Public Works, will not be impacted by the closure. Employees with telework opportunities will work remotely to keep city operations running smoothly. Offices are expected to reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 27, during regular business hours.

Fulton County

  • Fulton County senior centers will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, due to anticipated inclement weather.
  • Fulton County Behavioral Health Developmental Disability Centers will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26. Outpatient behavioral health appointments will be held virtually only on Monday, Jan. 26, with no in-person services offered.
  • Fulton County dialysis transportation services will be suspended on Saturday, Jan. 24, due to severe weather. Residents should contact their dialysis provider to confirm alternate transportation arrangements.

Hall County

  • Beginning the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 24, several Hall County Government facilities, including the government center, annex, courthouse, community centers, animal shelter, recycling center and libraries, will be closed and programming canceled for Saturday, Jan. 24, and Sunday, Jan. 25. The landfill and compactor sites will remain open to noon on Saturday, Jan. 25, with compactor sites remaining closed through Sunday, Jan. 25.
  • All District 2 Public Health offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26. This includes all health departments, environmental health offices, WIC offices, the children with special needs office, and the District Office.
