Mike Perry didn’t deliver to many specifics, but released his first overall statement since a disastrous fight week came to an end.

Perry headlined this past Saturday’s Duel Arena 1 card in his home city of Orlando and suffered a first-round stoppage loss to short-notice opponent Brandon Jenkins in the main event. Prior to the finish, Perry’s shoulder popped out of place after an exchange in the corner with his opponent, which Jenkins took full advantage of.

On Monday, “Platinum” broke his silence on Twitter.

“Health is wealth,” Perry stated. “The MMA lifestyle taking care of the body, mind and spirit. The gym helps the process of growing your strength, but strength is needed in other areas of life and should be exercised Everywhere we go. Organize, be consistent, more recovery and stretching. Taking knowledge into my future endeavors. More to work for, more work to do.”

Perry was originally slated to face Dillon Danis at the hybird event, but Danis withdrew two days before the matchup. Perry entered the bout coming off of a stoppage win over Nate Diaz on the Rousey vs. Carano fight card in May.
