The National Hispanic Media Coalition has set the honoree lineup for its upcoming Impact Awards Gala.

The annual event, taking place April 24 at the Beverly Hilton, will honor The Studio with the Behind the Lens Impact Award, with a number of Latino voices involved in making the Emmy-winning hit; recipients will include Frida Perez (co-creator, writer, and co-executive producer), Keyla Monterroso Mejia (actor), Lorena Perez Batista (music editor) and Antonio Sanchez (composer).

KPop Demon Hunters co-writers Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan will also receive the Storytelling Impact Award, Belissa Escobedo will be honored with the Outstanding Actress Performance in a Series Impact Award for her role on NBC’s Happy’s Place and writer-director Beth de Araújo will be honored with the Visionary Impact Award for her film Josephine (which drew buzz at Sundance).

Comedians Chris Estrada and Frankie Quinones will host the evening, which serves as an overall celebration of individuals creating a more inclusive society.

“Latinos have been an integral part of Hollywood since its earliest days, building it, shaping it, fueling its creativity, and sustaining its culture,” NHMC president and CEO Brenda Victoria Castillo said in a statement. “This year’s honorees are the latest examples of our voices having an impact and leading their work into award and cultural recognition. We are honored to recognize this incredibly talented group.”

More honorees, presenters and guests will be announced closer to the event. The Impact Awards Gala is part of the NHMC’s overall mission to spotlight accurate, fair and positive representation in media, as well as advocating for an increased number of Latino writers on major networks, improving diversity on major television and film sets, and educating media and industry executives on the variances of Latino culture.
