New Hires & Promotions

Eastern Washington University has hired Cola Boyer as director of tribal relations. Boyer previously worked for Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel as the training program manager. She served on the EWU Alumni Association Board of Directors for the past two years.

Coeur d’Alene-based law firm Smith + Malek has hired Michael Gunning as an attorney. Gunning is a graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law and specializes in estate planning.

Spokane-based Exit Real Estate Professionals has hired Latisha Morris as a broker. Morris previously worked for Seattle-based John L. Scott Real Estate.

Numerica Credit Union President and CEO Carla Cicero was recognized as a finalist at the Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards in the Credit Union Leadership CEO $4 Billion and Higher category. Cicero was honored for her leadership and commitment to fostering growth, community impact, and advancing innovation at Numerica.

The Legal Services Corp., an publicly funded nonprofit established by Congress in 1974, has awarded Northwest Justice Project a $61,435 Technology Initiative Grant. Northwest Justice Project is Washington’s largest publicly funded legal aid program, with an office in Spokane and others throughout Washington state. The grant will be used to increase access to legal assistance for vulnerable populations in Washington.

MultiCare Health System’s Community Partnership Fund has awarded $800,000 to nonprofit organizations throughout Washington state focused on addressing the most critical health needs in its communities. The fund supports organizations in the Puget Sound, Inland Northwest, and Yakima Valley regions that provide care, services, and resources that strengthen the health and well-being of communities. Spokane recipients include Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington, Family Promise, The Salvation Army, Vanessa Behan, and
