Romance readers, this one’s for you! Spend an evening with Abby Jimenez, #1 New York Times bestselling author, in conversation with fellow New York Times bestseller Meghan Quinn.

The Night We Met Abby Jimenez, taking place at Hy-Vee Center in North Liberty on Thursday, May 7, will celebrate Jimenez’s newest release, The Night We Met (debuting this March) and provide fans the opportunity to hear Abby Jimenez and Meghan Quinn dish on all things books, writing and romance.

Presented by GreenState Credit Union, this ticketed event is a fundraiser for the Friends of the North Liberty Library, supporting programs and services you love.

Reserve Your Seat

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 12 p.m. This event is limited to 350 attendees and two ticket tiers will be available:

$100 VIP ticket includes:

  • Seating within the front few rows
  • Signed copies of The Night We Met and Rules for the Summer, the newest releases from Jimenez and Quinn, respectively
  • Released first for photos with Abby and Meghan at the end of program
  • A complimentary Nadia Cakes Cupcake (bakery founded by Abby Jimenez)
  • Pride in supporting the North Liberty Library

$65 General Admission ticket includes:

  • General seating
  • Signed copies of The Night We Met and Rules for the Summer, the newest releases from Jimenez and Quinn, respectively
  • Photos with Abby and Meghan at the end of the program
  • Pride in supporting the North Liberty Library

Fans unable to travel to North Liberty or secure a ticket will have the opportunity to tune in to a free live stream of Jimenez and Quinn’s conversation. More details will be provided as the event approaches.

HEA Book Boutique, Iowa’s original romance bookstore with a new storefront in Cedar Rapids, is the bookseller for this special event.

Signed copies of both Jimenez’s The Night We Met (hardcover) and Quinn’s Rules for the Summer (paperback) are included for all ticketholders and will be distributed at the event.

Signed paperbacks of each author’s other titles may be pre-ordered through HEA and be picked up at the event. Pre-orders will be accepted Feb. 24 through April 23. The online storefront will be linked on this page once it opens.

Titles and a variety of merchandise will also be available for purchase day-of.

Plot Details

The Night We Met Abby Jimenez will take place at North Liberty’s newest event venue, Hy-Vee Center, located in Centennial Park at 1565 St Andrews Dr in North Liberty, IA.

4:30 p.m.
Doors open, pre-order book pickup, book sales, concessions, and Tess and Stuntman Mike Pawtograph stamps (limited to two books per person).

6:30 p.m.
Conversation with Abby Jimenez, moderated by Meghan Quinn.

7:15 p.m.
Q&A from the audience.

7:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Opportunity for attendees to take a separate photo with each author and purchase books.

About the Authors

Abby Jimenez is a New York Times bestselling author and Food Network champion living in Minnesota. Abby founded Nadia Cakes out of her home kitchen back in 2007. The bakery has since gone on to win numerous Food Network competitions and has amassed an international following. Abby loves a good romance, coffee, doglets, and not leaving the house.

Meghan Quinn is a New York Times, #1 Amazon and USA Today Bestselling Author, wife, adoptive mother, and peanut butter lover. Author of romantic comedies and contemporary romance, Quinn brings readers the perfect combination of heart, humor, and heat in every book.

About Friends of the North Liberty Library

The Friends of the North Liberty Library are a volunteer led group dedicated to the support of library through fundraising (book sales, donations), advocacy, and program support (Adventure Pass, reading programs, staff training, materials, etc.). Proceeds from The Night We Met Abby Jimenez will help the North Liberty Library host more author events like it.
