NYS Fair concert guide: Funk and pop-punk (Saturday, Aug. 30)

Welcome to our daily New York State Fair concert guide! We’ll be publishing a list of music performers and showtimes every day of the 2025 NYS Fair on syracuse.com.

There are two main stages: Suburban Park and Chevy Court. Suburban Park will host the Fair’s largest concerts in the New York Experience area on the west end near Gate 10, in the back of the Midway and past the Expo Center. Chevy Court is located near Gate 1, next to the Center of Progress Building and by the Dairy Products Building. Both have limited seating available.

No tickets are required for concerts. All are free with admission to the fair, which is $8 this year — and free for seniors 65 and older and kids 12 and under.

Here’s what to expect on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025 (Day 11):

JAMS Funk Fest – 12-9:15 p.m. at Chevy Court

The annual all-day funk festival takes over Chevy Court, featuring “Car Wash” hitmakers Rose Royce and other performers:

  • 12 p.m. CJack Run Presents: Youth Performances
  • 1:30 p.m. Stevie Wolf Blues Express
  • 3 p.m. UAD
  • 4:45 p.m. David Banks
  • 6:30 p.m. The Blacklites
  • 8:15 p.m. Rose Royce

All Time Low – 8 p.m. at Suburban Park

All Time Low is a multi-platinum pop-punk band known for Warped Tour-era hits like “Dear Maria, Count Me In,” “Weightless,” and “Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t).”

More music:

  • Davey Allen Music – 12 p.m. n Empire Theater
  • Dan Duggan on the Hammered Dulcimer – 12, 2 & 4 p.m. at Daniel Parrish Witter Agricultural Museum
  • Gabriela Coll – 1 p.m. in Latino Village
  • Shawn Halloran 1:30 p.m. at Bosco’s
  • Geraldine Speck – 2 p.m. in Empire Theater
  • Just Joe – 2:30 p.m. at The Shamrock at the Fair
  • Mirianny Tifa – 4 p.m. in Latino Village
  • Jim’s Apartment – 5 p.m. at The Eatery Pub
  • Papi Kaiser – 6 p.m. in Latino Village
  • Guarding Violet – 6 p.m. at The Shamrock at the Fair
  • 13 Curves – 7 p.m. at Bosco’s
  • The Jackson Trio – 7 p.m. in Pan-African Village
  • Name Brand Covers – 7:15 p.m. at The West End II
  • 2 Face – 8 p.m. in Latino Village

Other performers on the fairgrounds include The Mentalist Jon Stetson, Hilby the Skinny German Juggle Boy, racing pigs, The Living Zultar, the Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show, and The Tiki Shack. Additional fun includes an Ice Age exhibit and performances in the Pan African Village, Latino Village (Aug. 28-Sept. 1) and Indian Village.

Concert rules: The NYS Fair website outlines its policy for events at Suburban Park or Chevy Court.

  • Smoking/vaping is not permitted within the grassy areas of Chevy Court or Suburban Park.
  • No standing on benches or tables.
  • No sitting on shoulders of another.
  • Aisles must be kept clear of people, strollers, wheelchairs, scooters, etc.
  • Seats may not be “saved” for others. In the event of personal necessity, an individual may hold up to 2 additional seats for a limited time.
  • Unattended personal items, such as blankets, clothing, coolers, bags, etc., that are intended to save seats will be collected and held for return to the Fairgoer.
  • Wheelchair and limited-mobility seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each wheelchair and limited-mobility seat is allowed 2 companion seats. Companions seated in the wheelchair section must remain seated.
  • Vision and Hearing Impaired seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each Vision and Hearing Impaired patron is allowed 1 companion seat. Companions seated in the Vision and Hearing Impaired section must remain seated.
  • No professional cameras or professional recording devices allowed.
  • No umbrellas while the show is underway.

Aug. 30 at 8 p.m.: All Time Low at Suburban Park

Aug. 31 at 1 p.m.: Blippi at Chevy Court

Aug. 31 at 6 p.m.: En Vogue at Chevy Court

Aug. 31 at 8 p.m.: Shaggy at Suburban Park

Sept. 1 at 12 p.m.: Dionne Warwick at Chevy Court

Sept. 1 at 4 p.m.: 24K Magic – Bruno Mars Tribute at Chevy Court

Sept. 1 at 6 p.m.: +LIVE+ at Suburban Park
