Had won 13 of their last 14 games going into that game last night.
They’re kind of firing on all cylinders.
They’re getting the perfect combination of starting pitching.
You know what the back end of that bullpen does with Mason Miller.
Their stars are performing offensively, whether it’s Fernando Tatis Jr., who’s been h- on a four-month heater, Jackson Merrill looking like the player he looked like during his rookie season.
You know, you’ve gotten Ethan Solis, their top prospect rookie catcher that’s provided some big hits for them.
Jake Cronenworth, player of the week this past week, and so they’re getting a lot of offensive production.

Ty France having a monster career year for them at first base.
All of these things are going right for the San Diego Padres, and when you look at this time of year, who is playing well going into October?
And to me, the Padres are playing like the best team in baseball going into the time of year where you need to be playing like the best team in baseball.
So I would say San Diego right now.
