Prospanica, the Association of Hispanic MBAs and Business Professionals, announced plans to acquire Techqueria, the leading nonprofit organization advancing Latino representation in the technology industry. The proposed acquisition, pending regulatory approval from the California Attorney General’s office, represents a major milestone in uniting two powerful forces driving Latino advancement across business and technology sectors.

The combination will bring together Prospanica’s long-standing focus on education, leadership, and career development with Techqueria’s dynamic community of innovators, engineers, and technologists. Together, they aim to build a nationwide movement of Latino leadership at the intersection of business and innovation.

Upon completion, the organizations plan to expand opportunities for members through shared leadership programs, mentorship initiatives, national summits, and professional development events. The integrated network will strengthen access to scholarships, corporate partnerships, and thought leadership platforms—ensuring Latino professionals are positioned to lead and shape the future of business and technology.

Founded in 1988 at UCLA as the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, Prospanica began with a mission to increase Hispanic representation in business leadership. The organization has since grown into a national network of more than 50 chapters, empowering tens of thousands of members through scholarships, mentorship, and career advancement programs.

Techqueria, with a community of over 20,000 members across ten chapters, has played a central role in creating visibility and opportunities for Latiné professionals in the tech industry. The organization has become a trusted voice for representation, equity, and community in one of the world’s most transformative sectors.

The acquisition marks a pivotal step in building a unified platform that champions Latino excellence, combining Prospanica’s established influence in business with Techqueria’s innovation-driven approach to technology.
