Top Five U.S. Cities for Business TravelTop Five International Cities for Business Travel

FCM Travel, the flagship large market business travel division of Flight Centre Travel Group, has unveiled its official list of the top cities for business travel in 2025.

The rankings are based on a strategic analysis of total U.S. flight bookings made throughout the year by FCM Travel, offering a comprehensive snapshot of the business travel landscape across the country. A recognized leader in corporate travel, FCM Travel works with thousands of national and multi-national organizations in more than 90 countries, including many household brands, Fortune, and FTSE 100 companies.

According to the findings, Chicago ranked as the top U.S. city for business travel in 2025, followed by Dallas, Boston and New York. Phoenix rounded out the top five, making a significant jump after placing ninth in 2024. Santa Barbara, CA recorded the highest year-over-year growth among U.S. destinations, followed by Greensboro, NC, Spokane, WA, and Columbus, OH.

“It’s been another promising year for the industry, with more companies continuing to invest in their business travel programs, said Billy McDonough, FCM president, Americas. “The growth we’ve seen across cities nationwide is a testament to the value business travel delivers. As the industry evolves, I expect companies to increasingly prioritize travel as a true driver of growth.”

Internationally, London led the rankings as the most traveled-to business destination from the U.S., followed by Tokyo, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Singapore. Dubai, UAE emerged as the fastest-growing international business travel destination in 2025.

The in-depth analysis also identified peak travel periods throughout the year. Driven by a range of macroeconomic and industry factors, the busiest day for business travel in the U.S. was September 8, followed by September 15 and May 12.
