A second replacement matchup has been confirmed just one week out from the first MMA event on Netflix.

In March, the full line-up for Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano on Netflix was confirmed by Most Valuable Promotions.

This card remained intact for several weeks until Lorenz Larkin withdrew from May 16 due to an injury, which led to a replacement matchup being made.

MVP have now been forced into a similar scenario, this time due to Muhammad Mokaev not being able to compete at the Intuit Dome next week.

Muhammad Mokaev replaced by Phumi Nkuta in Adriano Moraes matchup due to visa issues

On May 9, Most Valuable Promotions announced that Muhammad Mokaev will no longer be facing Adriano Moraes on May 16 due to visa delays.

Having already produced one replacement matchup for their first MMA event, the promotion has been forced into a similar change.

Undefeated American Phumi Nkuta will be stepping in on short notice to face the Brazilian and take the place of the former UFC flyweight title contender.

🚨FIGHT UPDATE🚨

Adriano Moraes will now face Phumi Nkuta in a 3×3 professional MMA bout on Saturday, May 16. Muhammad Mokaev is officially off the card due to visa delays.

This is sure to be a big loss for hardcore fight fans, as many considered the matchup between Mokaev and Moraes the most high-level bout on the card.

Before Mokaev stopped Gerard Burns in his last fight to win the BRAVE CF flyweight title, he went 7-0 in the UFC but wasn’t re-signed in 2024.

Fortunately for Moraes, who is the only man to knock out MMA legend Demetrious Johnson, Nkuta is also a very highly-regarded talent.

His 11 consecutive pro wins have led to many questioning why ‘Turbo’ is still yet to receive the opportunity to compete inside the Octagon.
