SEG Solar has showcased its latest technological advancements and strategic plans during the 2024 PV CellTech USA conference, with CEO Jim Wood addressing attendees, detailing the company’s breakthroughs in cell technology and efficient global supply chain.
SEG has established a fully integrated manufacturing facility in Indonesia, incorporating ten cutting-edge N-type cell production lines, each capable of producing an annual 5GW.
The company has also launched a dedicated R&D centre focused on the continuous development of cell technologies. The centre is pivotal to SEG’s strategy of strengthening its global market presence and establishing a robust supply chain, particularly supporting operations at its Houston base.
The Houston manufacturing facility features a fully automated production line equipped with advanced technologies including precision laminators, extended curing systems and high-speed sorters, designed to enhance operational efficiency and product consistency. The adoption of advanced ERP and MES systems has transformed production management, providing seamless tracking from raw materials to final products.
SEG is currently evaluating options for constructing a new cell production facility.
