NFL News

George Pickens’ start to his first season with the Dallas Cowboys has many wondering whether he would want to remain with the organization after 2025.

“I wouldn’t mind it,” Pickens said Wednesday. “The guys in the locker room are super cool. The energy is great. But, like I’ve said, I always want to showcase my talents, most definitely.”

Pickens, acquired in a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers in May, is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season. Pickens has 32 catches for 525 yards, and he has scored six touchdowns over the past five games. His six touchdowns are a career high, and if he scores again Sunday against the Washington Commanders, he would become the first Dallas wideout with a receiving touchdown in six straight games since Terrell Owens in 2007.

In MLB

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer woke up Toronto’s offense as the Blue Jays hit five home runs to rebound from an early deficit, routing the Seattle Mariners 13-4 Wednesday night and closing to 2-1 in the AL Championship Series. Shane Bieber picked up the win, going six innings, allowing two runs on four hits with a walk and eight strikeouts.

Five Rangers are finalists for American League Gold Glove Awards at their respective positions: Jacob deGrom (P), Marcus Semien (2B), Corey Seager (SS), Wyatt Langford (LF), and Adolis Garcia (RF). That is tied for third-most nominations this season, trailing the Cubs and Blue Jays.

As a team, the Rangers shared the best fielding percentage in Major League Baseball (.991) with Atlanta, committed the fewest errors (51), recorded 4,329 putouts, and 1,364 assists. That could potentially make them finalists for the AL Gold Glove team award, to be announced at a later date.

In NBA NEWS

The Mavs took down the Lakers 121-94, led by Anthony Davis, who had 18 points and nine rebounds against his former team, as Dallas improved to 3-1 in preseason play.
