The San Antonio Spurs will turn Sunday’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings into a full-city celebration, hosting a vibrant Hispanic Heritage Night filled with music, food, culture and a halftime tribute to four San Antonio trailblazers shaping the community’s past, present, and future, according to a news release.

Fans can kick off the “Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future” celebration early at the pregame Carne Asada Experience, beginning Sunday at 1 p.m. in the ULTRA Club.

The cookout will feature classic dishes, a live band, mariachi performances, and a vendor market of local Hispanic-owned businesses. A restored 1969 Chevrolet Impala from the film “Selena” will also be on display for photos.

A new lotería-inspired Spurs tote bag is available through a limited ticket package, and team officials are urging fans to act quickly after the Hispanic Heritage Night jersey package sold out.

At halftime, Spurs Give will honor four local trailblazers through its Leaders and Legacies award series, presented by Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages. Each honoree will receive an on-court tribute, and a nonprofit of their choosing will receive a $10,000 grant in their name.

This year’s honorees include:

• Sonya Medina Williams, co-founder of the Latina Leadership Institute and longtime policy and business leader working to elevate Latina voices statewide.

• Eddie Vega, San Antonio’s Poet Laureate, is known for spotlighting everyday South Texas life through poetry and community programs.

• Amparo H. Ortiz (In Memoriam), a pioneering Spanish-language broadcaster whose show Desde San Antonio amplified Latino culture and community issues.

• Ernesto Nieto, founder of the National Hispanic Institute and a national leader in cultivating Latino youth leadership.

Fans can text SOMOS to 210-444-5940 for details on the celebration and to secure the tote bag package. Hispanic Heritage Night is one of several promotional events during the 2025-26 season, presented by H-E-B.

More information and the full promotional schedule are available at Spurs.com/Promotions, and individual game tickets can be purchased at Spurs.com/Ticketmaster. All tickets are mobile-only.
