With only weeks to go before the beginning of the season Quebecor, Rogers and the National Hockey League announced Thursday that TVA Sports will renew its national broadcast rights deal for another 12 years.
“The amount of the transaction will not be disclosed for reasons of business confidentiality,” TVA owner Quebecor said in a statement. The company is sub-licensing the rights from Rogers, which acquired them as part of an $11-billion deal announced in April 2025.
Under the new agreement, TVA Sports will have national French-language rights to 32 of the Canadiens’ 84 regular-season games — 10 more than under the previous deal. That includes the season opener on Sept. 29, Saturday night games, the Heritage Classic against the Jets on Oct. 25, and six Monday night games.
