A pair of former University of Louisville guards are headed to the NBA Draft Combine this weekend.

Ryan Conwell and Mikel Brown Jr., are both expected to participate in the Combine that runs from Sunday to Sunday at Wintrust Arena and the Marriott Marquis in Chicago.

The event is preparation for the NBA Draft, which will be held June 23 and 24. The first round is set for June 23, while the draft will finish up on June 24. The NBA Draft Lottery will be broadcast on ABC at 3 p.m. this Sunday.

Louisville has had 77 NBA Draft picks in the program’s history, with 20 players playing in the NBA in the last 11 years.

Conwell led Louisville in scoring with an average of 18.8 points a game, shooting 40.8 percent from the floor and 34.5 percent from three-point range. He was a second-team All-ACC selection and appeared and started in 34 games for the Cardinals.

The Indianapolis, Ind., native and transfer from Xavier finished the season sixth in the league in scoring, 10th in free throw percentage, and eighth in 3-point field goal percentage.

Brown averaged 18.2 points, 4.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals a game in 21 contests for the Cards, earning third-team All-ACC and All-Rookie Team honors. He recorded nine 20-point games, the most by any Louisville freshman in a single season in program history.

He led Louisville in scoring on nine occasions and led the Cardinals in assists in 16 of his 21 appearances.

Brown was named the National AP Player of the Week, Naismith Trophy Player of the Week and ACC Player and Rookie of the Week in mid-February for his stellar performances against NC State and Baylor. Against the Wolfpack, the freshman tied the Louisville single-game scoring record at 45 points and broke the ACC Freshman single-game scoring record.
