Kansas State wrapped up the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with one of the strongest performances in program history.
The Wildcats were led by national champions Tah Chikomba in the men’s long jump and Selva Prabhu in the men’s triple jump, marking the first time two K-State men have won NCAA outdoor individual titles in the same season. The men’s team scored 30 points to finish eighth, its best finish since 1998.
K-State earned seven First Team All-America honors. Uroy Ryan placed third in the long jump, Emil Uhlin finished fifth in the decathlon, and Aaliyah Lindsay took eighth in the women’s long jump. Freshman Destini Smith earned a bronze medal in the triple jump, while the women’s 4×400-meter relay team placed eighth.
The Wildcats also collected four Second Team All-America honors from Dorian Charles, Gary Moore Jr., Riley Marx and Daniela Wamokpego.
The women’s team finished tied for 29th place with eight points.
