Women’s Track & Field takes fourth at U of R Invite

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –  The RIT women’s track & field team placed fourth out of seven teams that competed in the U of R Invitational, Saturday.
 
Senior Caroline Hill led the Tigers with a first-place finish in the 400m hurdles, posting a regional qualifying time of 1:03.76, which is a personal best.  Teammates Samantha Crisci and Justine Draper also clocked regional times of 1:06.32 and 1:07.00, respectively.
 
Hill, Rachel Kulp, Allison Regnante, and Rania Sabri won the 4x100m relay after tying the program’s second-fastest time. Their result is also a regional qualifying time.
 
Regnante also placed second in the long jump, posting a personal best mark of 5.55m.
 
First-year thrower Ben Kayser-Cochran took second in the discus with a distance of 41.58m.

WHAT’S NEXT
RIT competes at the Penn Relays Thursday through Saturday (Apr. 24-26) as well as the Cardinal Classic at St. John Fisher on Saturday (Apr. 26).
