On July 13, the Fox Theatre announced the launch of its year-round community engagement campaign, “Welcome to the Fox: Donde Late Tu Mundo,” (Where Your World Beats), an initiative designed to further the Fox’s mission of preserving and sharing the historic theatre with all of the communities that make Atlanta so vivid and inspiring.

“The Fox belongs to everyone, and we are passionate about offering a wide variety of performances where people see themselves reflected on our stage,” said Allan Vella, President and CEO of the Fox Theatre. “Every person’s story and experience are the heartbeat of the Fox, a rhythm that brings families, friends and communities together.”

Ask any Atlantan about the Fox and you’ll almost always get a story; there’s something magical about the grand old theater that has a way of turning every visit into a lasting memory. The campaign features just this with three documentary-style videos that portray Latino community members sharing, in their own words, what the Fox Theatre means to them.

To celebrate her 60th birthday, Vanessa Ibarra and her siblings surprised their mother, Luz Marina, with a night at the Fox to see “The Nutcracker.” Having grown up in Venezuela going to the ballet with her father, Luz Marina has a deep love for the theatre. “I see shows that captivate me at the Fox, and I’m inspired to dream.”

The Zublena family, who recently moved to Atlanta from Argentina, was thrilled to discover the Fox Theatre, where they’ve attended shows like Tony Succar with Luis Enrique, “Back to the Future” and “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”

“Music and art are very important for our family. Going to the Fox is a way of connecting and creating memories together,” said Silvina.

Myra Flores, Vivian Reeves and Sadie Diaz-Cone have been friends since sixth grade and celebrated their 2006 Osborne High School prom at the Fox. As second-generation Latinas whose parents immigrated to the U.S., going to the Fox for prom opened their minds to new possibilities.

The Fox Theatre, whose lineup hosts more than 150 shows a year, will spotlight award-winning Latino artists and shows including Latin Grammy–winning Chilean artist Mon Laferte who will take the stage August 2, followed by Cuban reggaeton favorites Gente de Zona arriving October 3, with a showstopping run of performances October 27 through November 1 of the Tony Award–winning Broadway musical Buena Vista Social Club.

The Fox Theatre also offers a bilingual version of Fox in a Box, an interactive school program that brings the theater’s history into classrooms in English and Spanish as part of the Fox Gives community outreach program. The experience focuses on how important events in the Fox Theatre’s timeline intersect with key classroom lessons, from American history and the Civil Rights Movement to economics and the importance of communities. Student activities are tailored to the children’s grade level. To book the Fox in a Box experience, click here.

Through the Fox’s All-Access Pass Program, also part of Fox Gives, high school students explore all forms of work in the creative world of the performing arts, offering insights into career pathways in theater, music, dance, film and arts management. This immersive educational program enlightens and inspires high school students, connecting them with transformative opportunities that spark curiosity, foster creativity, and encourage career exploration. Outside of its regular lineup of performances, the Fox Theatre invites the community to experience a variety of special events and unique cultural offerings throughout the year. On Saturday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. the Fox Theatre will host El Viaje (The Journey): A Yoga Experience, presented by the Atlanta Hispanic Yoga Festival, in collaboration with the Atlanta Hispanic Yoga Festival (AHYF) and lululemon. This immersive practice invites participants on a guided journey through the energy and essence of global music, concluding with a restorative sound bath. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here.

Additionally, the Fox Theatre offers a variety of guided tour experiences throughout the year, including regularly scheduled standing tours that showcase its iconic architecture, rich history and behind-the-scenes spaces, along with specialty seasonal experiences such as Haunted History and Ghost Tours each September and October (dates announced in September) and Holiday Tours each winter (dates announced in November).

Tours are available in Spanish upon request by emailing tours@foxtheatre.org. Guests interested in public tours, seasonal experiences or hosting a private group tour can find additional information and upcoming dates by clicking here.
