Another thing we heard from multiple respondents to our survey is that advertising directly with industry publishers is too expensive for licensed dispensaries and cannabis brands. Given that we are a B2B platform, historically most of our advertisers have been the ancillary companies offering services to cannabis start-ups, like software / payments / marketing, and B2B advertising typically costs more than B2C advertising. However, we know that options and budgets for licensed cannabis businesses are often constrained by extreme regulatory and tax burdens, and we do want to make our services available to the people we built our publication for.
