FLORIDA (TNND) — President Donald Trump is scheduled to give remarks at the 2025 America Business Forum on Wednesday.
The event is being hosted in downtown Miami at the Kaseya Center on Wednesday and Thursday.
Guests started to arrive at the event around 10 a.m.
Before heading to Florida, Trump met with Senate Republicans in the morning at the White House to discuss the shutdown over a breakfast meeting.
The president called on Senate Republicans “to do what they have to do” and get rid of the filibuster.
“It’s time for Republicans to do what they have to do, and that’s terminate the filibuster,” Trump said. “It’s the only way you can do it, and if you don’t terminate the filibuster, you’ll be in bad shape. We won’t pass any legislation.”
Other speakers at the event include Argentinian President Javier Milei, former pro-tennis athlete Serena Williams, soccer athlete Lionel Messi, and actor Will Smith.
