HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Wade Bowlin, former principal and managing director of the Houston office of Avison Young, has joined the Lee & Associates – Houston commercial real estate services firm.
Bowlin is a 30-year veteran of commercial real estate and been a leader in Houston landlord representation, previously serving as president of the central division of PM Realty Group. At Avison Young, he oversaw all brokerage operations.
Bowlin also was involved in managing the 41-story 5555 San Felipe office tower, which was owned by Starwood Property Trust and being considered for conversion into residential, by Starwood CEO Barry Sternlicht.
“The biggest hurdle to making a multifamily conversion work right now is the fact that the rental rates don’t support the conversion,” Bowlin said in a 2023 interview on The Ralph Bivins Project podcast.
In 2021, Bowlin represented Union Investment, owner of the 1000 Main building as Shell Trading leased 258,000 SF in the downtown tower. It was the biggest office lease in Houston that year.
In his role at Lee & Associates – Houston, Bowlin will focus on expanding the firm’s office leasing platform, advising landlords, and developers on maximizing asset performance. He will also play a key role in business development and mentorship across the brokerage team.
