FORT WORTH- American Airlines (AA) will launch new non-stop flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Brisbane, Australia (BNE) starting December 5, 2025, through January 2026. This new route strengthens the airline’s trans-Pacific connectivity, supported by its strategic alliance with Qantas (QF).

Meanwhile, Qantas is boosting services from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Melbourne (MEL) and Sydney (SYD), operating daily flights during the same peak season. These enhancements aim to meet the rising demand for travel between the United States and Australia.

American Airlines Los Angeles to Brisbane Flights

American Airlines (AA) will introduce three weekly Boeing 787-9 flights connecting Los Angeles (LAX) with Brisbane (BNE) starting December 5, 2025.

The seasonal route will run through January 2026 and is part of American’s broader collaboration with Qantas (QF) to provide more seamless travel options across the Pacific.

Qantas will also increase its trans-Pacific presence by operating daily flights from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Melbourne (MEL), beginning December 3, 2025.

Furthermore, the airline will shift all DFW–Sydney (SYD) flights to Airbus A380 aircraft starting in January, offering increased capacity and premium options.

This extended winter schedule allows travelers easier access to Australia’s iconic destinations.

The partnership between the two oneworld carriers continues to deliver on convenience, capacity, and comprehensive regional access across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

The American–Qantas joint business partnership, now in its fourth year, is built to support high seasonal demand.

During the upcoming winter travel window, both airlines will offer up to seven weekly flights between LAX and BNE, ensuring daily service during peak months.

Following strong demand for American’s first-ever Brisbane flights launched from DFW in 2023, the route will return this year, starting October 25.

These flights will use American’s redesigned Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring 51 Flagship Suite® seats and 32 Premium Economy seats.

Tickets for the new LAX–BNE service go on sale May 12. Customers flying on either carrier can enjoy reciprocal loyalty benefits, including mileage earning, upgrades, and lounge access through the AAdvantage® and Qantas Frequent Flyer programs.

In North America, American operates from hubs including DFW, LAX, New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), and Vancouver (YVR), offering connections from more than 200 cities.

In the South Pacific, the partnership spans gateways in Brisbane (BNE), Sydney (SYD), Melbourne (MEL), and Auckland (AKL), enabling connections to nearly 70 destinations in Australia and New Zealand.

Whether travelers seek city adventures or nature escapes like the Great Barrier Reef or Tasmania, these routes support flexible itineraries.

Premium Travel Experience

Travelers flying on American or Qantas benefit from upgraded service options. American’s Flagship Suite® provides lie-flat seating, enhanced privacy, and luxury amenities on long-haul routes.

Qantas’s A380 service between DFW and SYD adds spacious cabins and additional seating capacity during the high-demand period.

In addition to seating upgrades, AAdvantage® members can now redeem miles to upgrade on select Qantas fares.

Priority perks like premium check-in, extra baggage allowance, and lounge access are available to eligible loyalty members across both airlines.

With shared service goals, American and Qantas deliver a unified, premium transpacific travel experience tailored to meet customer expectations in both comfort and connectivity.
