For Rick Bowness and other irritated Columbus Blue Jackets fans, there’s one good thing about the upcoming NHL playoffs: free Chipotle.
(Actually, there are two good things. The Pittsburgh Penguins are playing the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round, and one of them has to lose.)
The nationwide burritos-and-bowls chain is offering hockey fans a buy-one-get-one deal from 3 p.m. to closing time April 20 to celebrate the start of NHL’s postseason.
Hopefully you didn’t rip your Jackets jersey to shreds after the team’s 3-9-1 finish ensured Columbus’ sixth straight season on the outside looking in. To take advantage of Chipotle’s BOGO, you need to wear a hockey jersey into one of its locations.
According to Chipotle, the buy-one-get-one promo is limited to five free menu items per check and subject to availability. Each free item requires the purchase of an entrée item of equal or greatervalue and may be collected only by the jersey-wearing guest.
It’s not valid for catering, mobile, online or delivery orders, and kids’ meals don’t count.
