Los Angeles County Beaches and Los Angeles County Inland Coast including Downtown Los Angeles were placed under a dense fog advisory by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 12:54 p.m. The advisory is valid from 6 p.m. until Wednesday Dec. 17, at 10 a.m.
“Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog,” can be anticipated according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA. “Visibilities may lower near the immediate coast before 6pm.”
“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” according to the NWS. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Be prepared for sudden slowdowns.”

If no parking area is available, pull your vehicle as far to the roadside as possible. Once stationary, turn off all lights except the hazard flashers, engage the emergency brake, and release the brake pedal to ensure your tail lights are not illuminated, reducing the risk of other drivers colliding with your stationary vehicle.
