The Denver Broncos will have their first preseason home game tonight when they host the Green Bay Packers in their second preseason game. We’re just a few weeks away from Week 1 now.
It might surprise some, but the Broncos currently have an eight-game win streak in the preseason. It’s the longest active streak in the NFL currently. It’s too bad these games don’t actually mean anything.
The big news is that Bo Nix will be playing in this game. It’ll be his first live game action since injuring his ankle in the postseason win over the Buffalo Bills. When asked how much he’ll play, head coach Sean Payton noted that he’ll likely get the same 10-15 snaps the starters got last week.
“We’ll look at the pitch count, maybe similar to last week for him with that 14-snap count,” Payton said. “When we do that tonight, we go through each phase and who might be the early outs and then who might play a little bit more.”
That figures to be a couple of drives worth of snaps for Bo Nix. It’ll be good to see him on the field again.
