JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – El Centro Hispano is bringing back its popular Spanish camps.

During these camps, children can come learn about the Spanish language and Hispanic culture in a fun, laid back environment without the pressure of tests or homework.

Juanita Acosta with El Centro Hispano says they provide activities for the children to come and learn.

“It revolves around doing activities like dancing, making Latin food, learning about Hispanic artists, and having art activities, as well as games, outdoor activities,” Acosta said.

The camps have been going on for 15 years.

“Learning any language can be a challenge, and that is why we try to make it fun. It’s easier and we try to really immerse them in the environment,” Acosta said. “So here at the center, our team has a mix of different countries that we are from, and that’s something we like to expose people to.”
