JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — Saturday the Onslow Hispanic Latino Association hosted its second annual Summer Latin Fiesta!

The festival was hosted at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center, with both indoor and outdoor events, featuring over 70 vendors, with several fun activities for kids. Organizers say it’s a great way to learn and experience a new culture.

Dania Dominguez and her dance group traveled from the Raleigh-Durham area to be apart of the festival. She says events like these are a great way to educate the community.

Dominguez said, “the stuff that we do, what does it mean? What does it represent? Where do we come from? It’s very important for other people to get to know this, just so that they know where we come from, and the things that we do.”

Organization leaders say the event will return next year on July 26, 2025.
