A reckless driver who ignored stop signs and red lights while traveling through the northeast region of Los Angeles was arrested Monday after police tracked him.
The driver’s reckless actions on the road prompted the tracking, which officers did safely from a distance with aerial support. The driver was seen ignoring stop signs, traveling through red lights and at times traveling on the wrong side of the road on surface streets.
After driving around for at least 20 minutes, the driver traveled on the 110 Freeway near Lincoln Heights, and pulled the vehicle over on the shoulder of the freeway at about 5:35 p.m. That individual then ran onto a nearby hill toward a residential area.
The driver ran through surface streets in an attempt to evade officers but minutes later, he surrendered to police and was arrested near the intersection of West Avenue 33 and Pasadena Avenue in Lincoln Heights.
It’s unclear what charges the driver may face.
