Elevated Southern cuisine is a niche filled by a handful of San Antonio eateries, and for four years, Restaurant Claudine was among the best of them. As of Monday, June 22, the Grayson Street business has served its final customers, the restaurant announced.
Restaurant Claudine, one of a handful of restaurants under Carpenter Carpenter Hospitality, announced the closure in an Instagram post, sharing the news with its nearly 16,000 followers.
“We are grateful to our team, our guests, and everyone who supported us along the way. We are proud of what we built, the memories created, and the relationships formed over the years,” the business wrote. “The hospitality industry is constantly evolving, and so are we. While this chapter has come to a close, our passion for creating memorable dining experiences remains stronger than ever.”
Restaurant Claudine built its high-end concept around a nostalgic aesthetic and Southern comfort food with a touch of French flair. Menu items rotated seasonally, but staples included cornbread served with a side of floral butter and gumbo.
“And while Restaurant Claudine’s story ends here, ours does not. We look forward to sharing what’s next in a new, yet familiar neighborhood,” the Instagram post said. MySA has reached out to Carpenter Carpenter Hospitality for additional comment, and we will update this story if and when we receive a response.
