Squire Patton Boggs Labor and Employment partner Carmen Cole has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a 2024 “Leader of Influence: Labor & Employment.” The honor is awarded to leading employment attorneys and experts from the Los Angeles area and recognizes their professional achievements and impact made on the local community.
With more than 20 years of legal experience, Ms. Cole works with employers to resolve complex employment law issues. A skilled litigator, she is a Labor and Employment law expert who works with employers in a range of industries, including entertainment, education, healthcare, retail, and hospitality, to navigate compliance with wage and hour laws, employee mobility, reductions in force, recruitment and hiring, employee classification, leave laws, discrimination and harassment claims, and alleged wrongful terminations. Additionally, her prior experience as a human resources professional places her in a unique position amongst her peers to better understand her clients’ issues from both a legal and business perspective.
In addition to her labor and employment practice, Ms. Cole proudly serves on the Board of Directors for St. John’s Community Health as its Secretary. St. John’s is one of the largest, non-profit federally qualified health care providers in California. Ms. Cole is passionate about St. John’s mission to address health equity by responding to the health care needs of low-income, uninsured, and under-insured individuals throughout Central/South Los Angeles and Compton.
